Back in 1970 the Blue Peter locomotive preservation society or group appealed for public donations to restore the locomotive and I sent them a £5 postal order or it may have been a £5 note I can't remember(?) and in return I received in the post a b&w glossy A5 size of several pages on the locomotive which had a b&w centre spread picture of Blue Peter along with some written text which as a teenage railway enthusiast at that time I thought was pretty good.

My £5 donation back in 1970 probably paid for a rivet in Blue Pater's tender?. Well I like to think it did.
