Ex Midland Carriages in LNER ownership

Post by Rambler »

In response to robpulham's query in the "Paint finish for Midland Clerestory when moved to LNER" thread, I have this photo, source unknown, of an ex M&NB Composite Sleeper as converted to a Corridor Brake Third. It's difficult to say whether its teak grained or brown with dirty streaks.

Since this coach had money invested in a rebuild it might have had the full graining applied. As you say difficult to say from the photo. Most old legacy stock inherited by the LNER would have had a quick repaint into plain 'teak' brown.
