Felixstowe Town Station

Post by Laurie »

Totally new to this site !
I'm looking for photographs and/or track plan of the Felixstowe Town Station, around 1948-55. (Not the Pier or Beach stations, although they would be interesting!)
If anyone can help with pics., info or links I should be very grateful.

Branch Lines to Felixstowe and Aldeburgh, Adderson & Kenworthy, Middleton Press 2003 covers the whole branch, some photographs give an adequate elevated view of the layout. Still in print.

It was designed by Ashbee and had an almost identical arrangement to Hertford East, which was described in British Railway Journal Special Great Eastern Edition, Wild Swan, undated - difficult to track down, especially at a sensible price.

Or Google 'Felixstowe Town Station' and search the images...
