Many thanks silverfox, I have had confirmation that others, not on this Forum, agree.

I don't have the Peter Coster books, clearly an addition to the library required, oh dear!

I have had it confirmed that it is Essendine

also I know there are other class's of locos in this collection as well as Cock O' The North

Pic 4 definitely several hundred yards north of, as said, Potters Bar; the trains being on the Up lines : 'Somersault' signals' wide bracket structure did belong to PB Box - his 'outer' "First" Homes I think; and the colour-light signal was the Down Main Starter, which was an example of the LNER's 'colour-light with the maximum amount of mechanical mechanism/components' affairs, also acting as Distant signal for the stop signal at Hawkshead (about 300 yards south of Brookmans Park station.
