Does any one know of sources of information regarding the BR Cafeteria
Cars? I was told that someone in the LNER Study Group had done a good
deal of research into this subject, but that was many years ago and
most of my contacts in the Study Group have passed on.
I am particularly interested in these cars rebuilt from pre-grouping stock i.e. GER, GNR and MR.

Re: Cafeteria Cars
John Watling and other members of the GERS plus articles in the GERS Journal (GEJ) would be a good source of information on the ex-GE carriages, and I seem to recall at least one article, probably by John, in a magazine such as Back Track that included reproductions of the diagrams.
Most recently GEJ 153, January 2013, has a further article in the GER Carriage Building series by John that covers 1913, the year in which these carriages were originally built, and includes notes of the modifications made under the LNER. The GEJ is however available to members only, for reasons of copyright.
