Can anyone please advise if 1018/Gnu ran in LNER Apple Green livery prior to Nationalisation and also, would it have generally been maintained in a 'pristine' condition, or, as a mixed traffic loco would it have been allowed to be in less than this state during the pre Nationalisation era. (I have a new B1 model which I am planning to rename Gnu- with memories of one of Flanders and Swann's great animal songs - and will 'weather' it if more appropriate for this era).
Many thanks.

1018 was new in lined green with LNER on the tender. As far as I can ascertain it went straight into BR lined black.
