Windsor Lad with German smoke deflectors ???

After 60104 Solario, 60035 Windsor Lad was among the first of the A3s to be withdrawn in September '61 and, I may be wrong, but wasn't that date a little early for the fitment of German smoke deflectors ?
Reason I'm asking is because of a photo I found online. You can have a look at the photo here.
The photo's caption states that the loco is Windsor Lad, but there are a couple of things that make me doubtful that it actually is.
1) - The cabside number is indistinct ~~~ the "3" just isn't convincing.
2) - The caption states that the loco was withdrawn in 09/61 then continues to state of the loco "seen here at Leeds Central, 1962." (1962??? ~ Ghost Train?)
So, what I'm really asking is --- was Windsor Lad ever fitted with German deflectors?
