Ay up!
Wolverhampton MRC are currently planning their next big project based on the WCML just north of Crewe.
Did Mallard ever work up that neck of the woods or am I imagining it? It'd just be nice to run 4468 at exhibish again....
Failing that its either 35005 Canadian Pacific or Black 5 No 5305. I do hope she did!

Re: Mallard 1988 and all that
If 4468 did, then the standard Hornby model would need modifying for 1988. It's minor things, but those record plates and bits of silver paint really do make a difference:
Plates were from 247 developments and the paint used was humbrol matt 56 36C - Based out of 50H and 36F

The loco I got. Its a Bachy one with all the plates fitted so the loco was as I know it.
However - did it work from Crewe in 1988?
