Gresley A1 / A3 variations

Does anyone know how many variations of Gresley A1 / A3 there were?

My list so far of those I can recollect: (with my lack of knowledge in A1's and A3's a few of these are probably wrong and will be corrected via the replies)

It's actually far more complicated than your list. I suggest you look back the forums and find the tables I did on the A1/A3 and A4s.

In the context of what you spend on your hobby Blackout, and as I'm sure I've recommended before, to you and others on other occasions, get yourself a copy of RCTS Part 2A, it is an essential companion for any self-respecting LNER Pacific admirer. They come up regularly on eBay, for not a lot of dosh.

It would have saved you all that typing and been complete! :lol:

I'll be looking out for it at Warley and Peterbrough. I'm on the lookout for Yeadons vols 1, 3 and 4 too

No dosh at the minute (that's a monthly allowance for you :cry: ) I'll be able to build up a good little amount for Warley though so I'm gonna go mad on etched plates from 247, and books. Thanks for the link anyway :)

For a start you can eliminate all reference to corridor tenders after 1936/7 by which time they were with the new A4s.

I would recommend RCTS Vol 1 and 2A as being just as much, if not more valuable than Yeadon.
