The CCLR's very shiny LNER 04 number 6284, now effectively the only steamable 04 in the world - working on the CCLR on 15/07/12

Just as a query, is the lettering / numbering in the correct format?

Looks out of proportion to me (too large), and not the right font or perhaps its the lack of shading. No matter though, lovely engine!Blackout60800 wrote:Just as a query, is the lettering / numbering in the correct format?

Off-white LNER lettering is not something that I have any knowledge of - unless the idea is to represent hurried on-shed 1946 renumbering - but the local painters surely would not have bothered with the LNER lettering on the tender, just the number.
