Does anyone know if the Clayton railcars were lined out at all ? I have a couple of blurry photos that don't appear to show any lining.

The Clayton railcars were lined out on the upper panels and on the bunker.

But it may depend which livery you want to use. I have not seen clear evidence of lining on the red and cream version, nor do I have a suitable shot in 'teak'.

Plum coloured lining on some with the green/cream livery - 3/16 outer with a 1/16 inner line on cream panels with a reverse curve at each end. Pretty well indistinguishable on 4mm. No lining on Red/cream livery.

There several pictures in Yeadon 12 taken in 1928, one stated to be in original red and cream, which clearly show lining on the upper panels and bunker.

Both the RCTS and Yeadon give 30th May 1930 as the date green and cream was adopted as the standard livery, although Sentinel types had appeared in green and cream before then. I cannot find any individual paint dates for the livery change on the Clayton cars.
So not straightforward.
