Here is a puzzle !! In Harris's books ( original and reprint) he puts a third class open as Coach B and another third at Coach C. He doesn't state the Coach letters - that's my take, in that they would be 2nd and 3rd in the consist. In the Isinglass drawings the second coach (Coach B) is a kitchen third with Coach C & D as twin firsts. This leaves the third class passengers somewhat isolated in Coach A. So we have -
Harris - brake third/third - third/kitchen third - first/first - kitchen third/brake third
Isinglass - brake third/kitchen third - first/first - third/kitchen third - third/brake third

Who is right and who is wrong ? Or is it just me !!

I think you basically have the same formations there, described by Harris from the North leading, Isinglass South leading.
