Does anyone have any photos of the driving end of the Craigendoran, Arrochar push pull sets please? or in general any D.317 or 320 driving trailer.

Ian Kirk has shown photographs on the RMweb pages that prove (contrary to the Isinglas drawing) that the Scottish conversions did not have side windows.

The Scottish conversions were non standard insomuch as they did not have side windows to the driver's cab and the end windows were small and square. There is a clip on one of Cinerail's Scottish videos somewhere.

I built a set from Ian Kirk coaches years ago and got it wrong as I based mine on the standard drawings with side windows and large end windows. It had an accident some years ago and is in bits awaiting repair, but I wonder if one of the new Hornby Gresleys could be converted instead?

"The Scottish conversions were non standard "!!!
English = standard??
"I wonder if one of the new Hornby Gresleys could be converted instead?"
Just doing one which is why I asked the question on the RMweb site and Bill passed it to here. It is surprising that John Edgson produced an incorrect drawing that does not match the "official" Diag 317 drawing. His side windows are not the Epping-Ongar style either.
