Re: Stationary Boilers
Yes the link is good with 2 notable LNER omissions. The preserved Shire was a stationary engine at a Laundry in Edinburgh and the Hush hush boiler ended up at Darlington or Doncaster.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

The W1 boiler is covered but under Stooperdale rather than Darlington.2 notable LNER omissions. The preserved Shire was a stationary engine at a Laundry in Edinburgh and the Hush hush boiler ended up at Darlington or Doncaster.
Re: Stationary Boilers

Re: Stationary Boilers, Ex Loco's
The W1 boiler was used to test new and refurbished boilers in Stooperdale Bolier Shop rather than for heating purposes as most of the stationary boilers/ex locos were used for.

Re: Stationary Boilers, Ex Loco's
Not LNER but there was an ex Caley boiler at Perth Station Carriage sheds for years. I've a feeling that Inverurie works also had an ex loco boiler somewhere too.
