Not in the guise of LNER but 100% LNER built!
Does anyone know what happed to No.9 today?
She was due in at York at 12:45, but then wasn't due till 14:00 and reports from people said she'd failed and was being hauled in.
When she came in (quick mad change of Platforms from 9 to 11) she was under her own steam, and was producing a lot of steam from every exit, even had her running stood still, which looked odd with the steam coming ot the chimney, and lots of ear peircing steam from (technical term here) those two front bits!!!

Cylinder drain cocks. They allow water which condences inside the cylinder to escape. If they arn't opened then as water cannot be commpressed like steam the front cover of the cylinder will be blown off resulting in one stricken streak and a hefty repair bill for the owners.x568wcn wrote: (technical term here) those two front bits!!!

I notice now Union is out forit's run next Saturday, it's last scheduld run of the year.
And does anyone know about Duke of Gloustsetershire? Does it have something against York?
Twice I have been to see it, once it was cancelled, and once it got as far as Stayleybridge, before it broke down, and they stuck a calss 67 on the front and left him behind...welll the last 2 saturdays of the year he was due, and now next Saturday he has gone, engine is TBA now (might be something good then, but maybe not!)
