Hi,
After purchasing a trainset with a B12/1 in it.. I was hoping these visited or were allocated into Lincolnshire.. preferably used on the Mablethorpe branch?
Any chance this happened? If so, allocated to which shed?
Thanks

61567 was allocated to Grantham, during the mid 50's...
Cheers

To my knowledge no B12/1s worked the Mablethorpe branch. I have seen B1s K2/K3, J11 once and even a LMS Mogul.

Unless this purchased trainset is something unusual that I know nothing about, I'm tempted to suggest that the loco in it is very much more likely to be a B12/3 than a B12/1 - or has something different to the usual Hornby offering turned up?

Ay up!
If its the Hornby one, that's a B12/3 - well sort of. Triang chopped a few feet off the front end to "improve" the proportions and to make it fit the new chassis, destined ultimatley for the A3.
Oh, and some streamlined LMS thingy that was
also too short!
Triang and Lima - we'll never see their like again.
