What period will your model of 60024 represent? The RCTS "Green Bible" shows that Kingfisher's livery changed as follows:

Delivered ex-works in LNER green
January 1938 - LNER blue
September 1943 - LNER black
August 1946 - LNER blue
June 1948 - BR purple
August 1950 - BR blue
March 1952 - BR green

There were also tender and chimney alterations, and the removal of the valances, which affected the appearance of 60024 during its life.

60024 Kingfisher

Hi Bullhead thank you for the reply. I was hoping to do the era of late 30's early 40's depicting the war time. So I sopose January 1938 to September 1943 would be the right area. More than likely it would be January 1938 - LNER blue.

So remember that the correct number for this period would be 4483, not 60024 - this is Kingfisher's BR number, carried from June 1948.
