Hello Guys & Lasses,
First posting from a guy with an historical interest, but a distinct lack of railway knowledge..........
As a long-term (& knowledgeable) aircraft enthusiast trawling the net, I've found it difficult to obtain any information on the various subjects I'd like to know re; certain engines & their route limitations etc.

Hopefully (if link works) my posts 3, 8 & 19 will explain my interest & will put me in touch with someone able to answer my various questions.
Main one I'd like answered is - Do/Did L.N.E.R. Loco's have Log Books, recording their usage/routes/DRIVERS ??? in the same way aircraft, or even the Post Office vehicles that I used to drive on a regular basis did ???
