My Locoshed Book for Summer 1960 shows no less than five B1s (61008, 61201, 61269, 61298 and 61369) allocated to the ex-L & Y shed at Agecroft (26B).
Surely this is too many to be a mistake - even by Ian Allan standards!
Does anyone know where these locos came from and why they were allocated to Agecroft. Were they ex Gorton? Was there a shortage of Black 5s at the time?

B1s at Agecroft
All confirmed by Yeadon. All moved from GC sheds and some returned there after a year or two - to Gorton or Woodford.
According to the Green Bible the moves followed the transfer of GC Machester area sheds to the LMR in 1958, bur there is no information on their workings at Agecroft.
