NER wagons

I'd be very grateful if anyone could let me know what form the number plates on NER wagons took, i.e. size, shape, wording, etc.

Hello. According to North Eastern Record, Vol 2, published by HMRS, NER wagon number plates were rectangular, 1' 1" by 7", with scalloped corners. Prior to 1916, the number was across the middle, with NORTH above and EASTERN below. After 1916,the number was slightly below the middle, with NER across the top. Hope this helps
