1306 MAYFLOWER (NAME OR NO NAME)

Post by 51L »

Who agrees with 1306 having a name, i know its been named Mayflower for a long time since it was preserved but who AGREES :D
AND WHO DOESNT :(
Me i would like to see it without the name as it was never a named loco, the name came off another B1.

I like to see her wih the name, it gives the loco a bit more recognisability, making it different from the other surviving B1

This locomotive was based in my hometown of Hull for most of it's working life, during that time it carried no name. If I had my way it would be nameless, and neither would it be in LNER livery as it never wore it in service.

If i had it my way i would
-Run 1306 as 61306 BR livery (2 or more years)
-Run it in BR as the original MAYFLOWER (2 or more years)
-Run 1306 in LNER (just to please LNER fans, NOT ME)

Mayflower isn't the only LNER engine with a preservation-era name. Joem has one as well...
