I have used the wonderful LNER Encyclopedia for some time, but have registered only today, probably for the same reason that many people register i.e. I cannot find the information that I require which I must say is very unusual!
I am building a model of a DES1 either 8000, 8001, 8002 or 8003, does anyone have any photographs that they can let me have by email (see below) in LNER livery? Or guide me towards where I can find photographs of same.
Many thanks in advance.

Isn't there a picture in LNER Liveries by Brian Haresnape? Think they were lettered N.E only

Re: DES1's in LNER livery
The RCTS books also have a small number of pictures - it is the volume that includes Departmental locos.
I don't know if Volume 50 of Yeadon's will include diesels & electrics. If it does, then they should be in there.
(49B due Real Soon Now, so hopefully 50 will be out before the end of the year)
Yes "NE" on black - this is how I painted my N scale DES1 (actually an 08 painted black)

Do you have the pictures that you need yet Graham? I have just located 3 or 4 in my RCTS 10A. It may be possible to let you have a look.........

Re: DES1's in LNER livery
ISTR that there's a photo of one of them (8003?) in one of the LNER Albums. I'll have a glance through them when I get home.
