A4 works plates

Post by osprey »

Is there a list which correlates the names to them?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Presumably you are talking about the works numbers since the plates were the same.

If this is the case, Yeadon's A4s or RCTS Loco of the LNER Vol 2A will give you the full information and tell you where they were monted.

Many, many thanks I did,nt want to buy a Yeadons register for a one off. I thought it was Andrew K Mc Cosh. It belonged to my late cousin who bought it direct from Doncaster when the loco was cut up, so it has some provenance. It,s possibly going to be put up for sale. Again many thanks
