New-Build C4

On the LNER Class C4 (GCR 8B) page, in the "Preservation" section, it says this: "None of the C4s survived into preservation. However, Jamie Green is currently looking into the possibility of a new-build C4."
I have heard of no such project to rebuild a GCR Atlantic, and the Yahoo link leads nowhere. Is there really a plan for a new-build? If so, are there any verified sources to prove that a new build really has been considered?

Never heard of such a project and the 'Yahoo!' link has no relevant content.

Why anyone would propose building a C4 mystifies. It was as obsolete as all narrow firebox atlantics, which failed to exploit the wide firebox the format makes possible, as first demonstrated for UK purposes by Ivatt's C1, and many other earlier examples from the major railway operations overseas.

Oh, okay. I don't know how the supposed "new-build" got in there. I hope someone will correct that.
TBH, if I had a chance to propose a new-build 4-4-2, I would've gone for one of the NER ones, as they were much better than the GCR ones.

Yahoo Groups ceased in, I think, 2018. My guess would be that the project didn't get very far.

Yes, it almost certainly got nowhere.
