I'm talking Tess-Tyne Pullman and The Northumbrian in particular. I seem to recall that the T-T Pullman was generally hauled by A4s, but which class tended to do The Northumbrian? Further to that, were any particular locos regulars on those trains? Finally, did The Northumbrian have Gresley, Thompson or even Mark 1 stock?

I think I remember Tony Wright has a full length The Northumbrian on his Little Bytham layout; it showed up in one or two of his videos.

And if the Hornby train pack is correct, for at least part of its' lifetime it was standard Gresley teaks, and one of the engines assigned to haul it was A4 60003 Andrew K. McCosh; while another was A3 60083 Sir Hugo- and on one occassion, the train engine failed and was deputised by a V2.

The Hornby train packs bear no relation to reality.
