The LNER Encyclopedia

A recent glass negative purchase features Holden J69 no. E8619 at North Woolwich on 14/4/51 but I haven't been able to nail down when that number was applied. The number 68619 was applied in June 1953 but UK Rail, BRDatabase and my in-house database don't mention the 'E' number at all which is most unusual.
Your help would be appreciated.

I have the answer to this query from a Facebook group ......…
The E8619 number was applied during a general overhaul which ended on 24/1/1948.
