Sad to say 60009 is not going to make it to Grosmont & Pickering next week as it’s in need of some new piston rings apparently.
The substitute loco is Bulleid West Country Pacific 34092 City of Wells.
I’ve had my ticket booked since November
To say I’m gutted is very much an understatement. I know such things happen but I’ve had enough “last-minute revisions” to last a bleedin’ lifetime. Will think carefully the next time I prebook tickets and a weeks accommodation in Whitby.
