Belgian Crane
Whilst in Brussels last week I visited the railway museum at Schaarbeek, and was surprised to find on a crane outside with NER axle
boxes on the runner. The museum is worth a visit.

They lost a crane? Well if it was a 35ton Cravens with a 1912 build date this one would be a suspect...

They get everywhere. I have a photo of a Cowans Sheldon crane on a roundabout in Spain somewhere.

Re: Belgian Crane
I also saw and photographed this crane 2 weeks ago.
I noted the North Eastern axleboxes on the runner wagon at the time and assumed it must have been sold to the Belgian Railways at some stage?

Thanks for the info Manors.
It had a long life, I think it was retired in 1987.
Woodcock29 we must have been there around the same time.
