Just had a good pic of a GER B12 having a drink and some food at Tweedmouth before hiking across the border, St Andrews day 1931. Posted to my fb page its got to be worth sharing. Pic origin K. Ransome Wallis.

Hello 52D
I think there is a very good chance that the B12 is the class leader 8500.
St. Andrew's Day is November 30th - and 8500 reached Kittybrewster 29 Dec 1931 being the only B12 relocation for several months either side of Nov/Dec 31.
It remained in Scottish sheds until condemned in June 1948.
I could, of course, be wrong . . . it has not been unknown . . .

I wonder if Tweedmouth had hijacked it for a couple of weeks, over the years they were well known for this the last two victims being 60836 and 61116.
