In the middle of updating and designing a couple of new ex-GNR locos which went into BR times and am looking at how accurate the drawings I have, I wondered if anyone had any good photos of these items on pre grouping LNER locos. I am not sure how many different types there were from the various LNER works that undertook rebuilding. What were the differences between Doncaster and Darlington practices in this area?

From looking at my copies of Yeadon, there are at least two different types for those at the top side of the firebox as well as toward lower edge of
there is something which I think is similar to those on the Atlantics, but anyone have any more specific data please?/
