At Clacton station there is a body of a GER 6 wheeled brake which has been there ever since I can remember. It's sadly been set alight and vandalised over the years but I've never known much about it.
Does anyone know anything about it such as how long it's been at Clacton and what it may have been used for as a grounded body?
As can be seen from my photo, this time of year the view is somewhat obscured but the below link shows a clearer shot!

Thanks in advance!

Have a look at:

it's a GER Six-wheel Brake body only, if you need any further information I can provide via Great Eastern Railway Society.

Re: GER Coach body at Clacton.
During the late 1950s, this coach body was being used as a mess-room. The father of a friemd of mine would wave from a window of it as the two of us cycled by on our way to school. I believe he was employed at that time as a wheel-tapper.
If it's still there, it must be well obscured from the road now by bushes.
