Does anyone know where these are held? AFAIK they are not listed at the NRM.

They were at NRM last time I saw them...ring or email them, from memory there are several vol's in the LNER series.

The negatives from Doncaster for both GN and LNER went to the NRM in 1975. The quarter plate negs were all printed and are in the reference volumes which I titled for them (50 at a time!) in 1978/79. The larger negs up to 15 X 20 were not as I remember printed but prints were available from the negative references if known. It was known that some of the earlier negs from pre 1900 were missing, but fortunately some copies from these are around and the NRM have copied them where they have turned up.

Apart from a large batch of civil engineering photos (ie Crimpsall shops and plant interior) and some of women war workers, the rest should still be available. I have a copy of the register if that helps.

John Curtis from the LNERCA catalogued the LNER and ECJS photos at the NRM many years ago.
These are listed here:

Don't know how complete the list is.

It was Allan H that put that list together, not John C. It was a long time ago as the data was migrated over the years from a BBC Micro floppy disc!

Sawdust.
