V2 Liveries 1950's and 60's

Post by kingfisher24 »

I am trying to find details of liveries carried by various Scottish based V2's through the 1950's and 1960's. When for example did locos start receiving lined green in place of lined black? Were all V2's so treated, or did some receive lined green at the next works visit after Nationalisation, missing out on lined black all together? Were the colour schemes applied dependent on the specific Works to which the loco visited for its classified/unclassified repair?
Does the information exist in any published texts?

Try Yeadon's Register of LNER Locomotives - volume 4
