Ay up!
Try emailing Bachmann - I find their spares service is actually pretty good and they may just have what you want. I got a rivetted tender A1 for my 4470 project but managed to get hold of a welded one from Bachy for very little money.
My rivetted one is now "down under" and I reckon you'd need dynamite to separate it from its new owner.....
Red nameplates (NOT on A4's!).

I concur with giner:giner wrote: I'm blowed if I can ever remember an A1 with other than black background nameplates. And I was practically camped out by the line from 1954-59. Well, I suppose I must've gone home for supper now and then.
As a Saturday Leeds or York/Sunday Doncaster Works (via back fence) spotter, 1959 - 1963, I copped all of the A1's, and all had black-backed nameplates when I saw them. Some (all?) of the Scottish A2's had turquoise-backed nameplates.
I copped all of the A4's, and never saw a red-backed nameplate, although I believe 60008 was so painted for a special occasion - there is a photo in 'The Colour of Steam' (?) volume on LNER pacifics.. Again, some of the Haymarketeers were turquoise (not 60004, 60011 when seen on Holbeck after arrival over the S&C).
