Well, how interesting this lot is turning out to be! Thanks to all contributors.
Thank you 65447, I only knew John as a key member of the Barnet MRC when in the early '70s I was also part of the club, and had no idea that he had professional involvement of that sort.
Andy W,
Well done indeed for legitimately rescuing and looking after those plans : The plan I recall, I reckon showed more roads down Holloway bank (6, I think) than the four that we been left with since about 1977.
Somewhere I've got a sketch copied from sight of a signalling plan showing King's Cross 1932 box taking over Belle Isle Up SB's area, using similar style signalling to that at the station. I forget whether a plan date is shown - possibly it was to follow on from the 1935 takeover of Belle Isle Down box, but was perhaps stymied by war - but whatever its period, I don't think it bore any clue to being associated with electrification.
I previously mentioned that the plan I recalled seeing, included ".... several loco spurs north of the platforms". Interestingly, these were, AFAIR, configured to mostly be one for each pair of main-line platforms, suggesting that this general layout was to cater for electric loco haulage of trains.
