Nothing obvious on a search or in RCTS 2a.
Can anyone confirm if the A4's once restored post war to Garter Blue recieved Black or Red nameplates please. I will have couple to do once Simons valance cutting etch becomes available (any update Simon ??).

Colour-Rail reference NE5 shows Empire of India with a red nameplate in 1947 if that's any good?

Thanks , no idea if the Coronation A4 Locos continued carrying RED nameplates in wartime as well ? and it simply carried on those Locos after the war ?

E22 and 14 were red backed for definite
36C - Based out of 50H and 36F

Mallard aka E22 was painted Garter Blue by BR.

I have now found a photo of Seagull with Red plates so will go with that colour.
