The vehicle in question was actually a Thompson BTK to Diagram 346 built at York in 1948 as part of a large batch for ECJS workings. It would have been outshopped in ersatz teak with full LNER and No and probably retained its ECJS number until witdrawn. It seems that RO was incorrect in calling it a 'Gresley' vehicle. It did have pressure ventilation and some were used on the FS and Junior FS at the time.
