Re: Quadarts
Many thanks for the link up. I have since found out from my Railway Observer that sets 67, 79 and 90 were due to go from commuter work in London to "Excursion "work in Sheffield !!
Re: Quadarts
Another set wound up in Hull in the late fifties/very early sixties and were used on the football specials to Boothferry Park-had the joy of going there behind an Ivatt Flying Pig in them

G'Day Gents
Many of the Kings Cross Quad arts did summer duty outside the capital, and summer weekends often saw them rostered to Skeggie, Maplethorpe etc.

Re: Quadarts
You need a copy of Michael Harris' LNER CARRIAGES. It gives running numbers of all LNER coaches. Someone was asking here a while ago for running numbers.

Re: Quadarts
I think you will find that 2652's post gives more info than Harris and is of more use for this subject.

Re: Quadarts
The set numbers are not given in any of the Michael Harris books on the subject of GN and LNER carriages, so many thanks to 2562 for posting the tables from John Edgson's drawings.
I once asked Steve Banks if he had this information, but he said no. Since he has recently joined this forum he'll have no excuses in future... but then we won't need to ask again...
