I suggest that you save up your pocket money and acquire a copy of Yeadon's Register Appendix One or get a copy through your local library. This will answer your question!

I think you'll find those are the ones which were built.

Was there a list of potential A2 (race horse) names at Doncaster? If so, I presume they went to the A1s after cancellation of the order.

The situation was complex as the railway executive initially didn't want to name the A2s and A1s which were still outstanding at the time of Nationalisation. However the naming of locomotives also became Nationalised, and it was up to the Executive, not the regions, to decide on names.
Various suggestions were made, but then the Executive changed its mind again against naming locomotives. The railway press however gave this much coverage and by March 1949 reversed its decision.

A list had already been prepared with racehorses, names from Scott novel characters which had previously been used on NB Atlantics, and later the constituent companies of the LNER and former locomotive engineers.

Also on the list were names of the former North Eastern Pacifics. These latter being deleted in favour of bird names displaced from A4s renamed with LNER Director's names.

There is NO indication that any names were allocated to the A2s before they were built and therefore any that were cancelled would not have had names earmarked for them.
