LNER 12T vans - distance between end posts

Post by 9E »

Can anyone tell me the distance between the two end posts on the LNER 12T planked vans? I'm particularly interested in the distance between end posts either side of the ventilator on the wartime-built ventilated van (http://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/lnerco ... #h24519606), but the same dimension on the earlier LNER vans or the similar fruit vans would also be useful.

I've just bought one of the new Farish models and have been comparing the end posts on the Farish and Parkwood Models. The Farish end posts are considerably closer together than the Parkwood, which to some extent would be expected as the Parkwood model is overwidth to fit the available Peco chassis, but I want to be sure which is closest to the prototype before choosing how to take a saw to the Parkwood ends.

Thanks,

Simon
