Apple green A4 - drawing

Post by 60800 »

I've finished my new A4 drawing and have uploaded 4487 'Sea Eagle' along with 4464 in garter blue and 2509 in silver grey. Please tell me if anything is wrong: http://2509-silverlink.deviantart.com/#/d4zjsed

Many thanks, JJD :)

Tender wheels: black, nameplate: black ground, cab roof: black all over with this type of tender, cabwindows: teak framed.

4487 also had front black complete to front boiler band.

Pony wheels too small -- and so the axle box is in the wrong place, no springs on the trailing axle box
Front buffers too short
Motion altogether too wimpy
Union link should be more or less horizontal

Just had a chance to check my photos. 4487 during its 'Green' period had a 1928 pattern corridor tender, and not a streamlined tender with a bowed rear plate. Also tender buffer stocks would have been black. Otherwise agree with Bill.
