Info on V2 No 4801

Post by Chinny22 »

Hello,
I have recently purchased the Bachmann 31-555 V2 and just trying to find some details about it.

Usually I get build/withdrawn details from here http://www.railuk.info/index.php but it doesn’t have the original V2’s numbers to check against.
Can someone let me know what number it received in 46? or failing that when it was built and withdrawn?

Also if anyone can tell me which shed it was allocated to Pre 46 it would be greatly appreciated
Any other “interesting facts” are always welcome!

Cheers
James

Sorry, can't help with your V2 enquiry, but there's some very knowledgable folks on here who will.

Thanks for drawing my attention to this site - hadn't seen it before. Very good selection of LNER photos, http://www.railuk.info/gallery/images_search.php some of which I hadn't seen before, just wish they weren't so lo-res. Cheers.
