Hi can anyone point me to a ref site to identify the wagon that would have carried the number E264070? The wooden solebar (clearly showing the number and date 1944) is currently supporting the neighbouring farm stable roof!
Thanks
Peter

Re: Pre grouping wagon number
This was one of a large batch of high sided opens to Diagram 191. This particular batch from 1944 was numbered 263300 to 265299 and was the final wooden chasiis design.
This was pre nationalisation rather than pre-group!

Re Diagram 191 - High sided wagons - a further favour please - website address to view said diagram?
Re: Pre grouping wagon number
I would suggest Peter Tatlow's LNER Wagons or the more up to date Volume 4A which I think covers the opens. Have a look at the thread for Volume 4A LNER Wagons by Peter Tatlow.
