GNR wagon in Milestone Museum

Post by gdb »

Hampshire County Council has a museum of Hampshire transport, that musuem is "Milestones" in Basingstoke. One of the exhibits is a "GNR" open wagon which the museum staff think came from the Port of Bristol... otherwise the wagon might just as well be a GWR Open.

Can anyone throw any light on the history of this wagon? (such as GNR diagram, build date)

thank you, Graham Beare

Thank you. The wagon looked a lot better than the photo when I saw it in the museum.
