I personally think Tornado looks fantastic in LNER livery. The decals might be "cheap and nasty" but they look genuine enough in the photos.

A1s number 60114 - 60128 definitely carried LNER Apple Green (Doncaster Shade). The only difference was the branding - numbering in the 6XXXX series, and "BRITISH RAILWAYS" on the tender. They wore full LNER lining out, as had been seen on the earlier built Peppercorn A2s.
60129, Guy Mannering, was (to my recollection) the first outshopped in BR Express Passenger Blue (my personal preference of the A1 liveries, as its the subject of quite a few photographs left to me by my late grandfather).
Tornado will appear in BR green next (April-ish), followed by Apple green and then a stint in BR Blue, as far as I know.
