60007 Sir Nigel Gresley Research

Post by Frankie Hutchings »

Hello,

I'm a volunteer with the Engineering Team/ Support Crew for 60007. I'm currently doing some research trying to establish when No.7 first hauled some named trains. Primarily when No.7 was reallocated to Kings Cross in 1950. The named trains are as such The Capitals Limited, Norseman, The Northumbrian, Tyne-Tees Pullman, Queen of Scots (British Railways Train) and White Rose.

If anyone had any dates of when No.7 first hauled these trains I would be very grateful.

Additionally I would be very interested in if anyone knows how many times No.7 hauled The Elizabethan. I've only found one picture of No.7 hauling it in the summer of 1956.

Many thanks,
Frankie

The best place to start is Tommy Knox. Email him on "Tommy at lner-pacifics.me.uk".

He will have more information than anyone else.
