Locomotives between Barnsley and Grimsby, 1900s-1910s?

Post by GWRSwindon »

What were the engines most commonly seen on the Great Central's line between Barnsley/Sheffield and Grimsby/Immingham, via Wath and Doncaster? I assume many, many goods engines for all the coal traffic the line saw, and faster engines for the fish trains from Grimsby. If I remember correctly, the Great Northern and North Eastern ran trains over the line as well, what types of engines usually hauled these?
