Evening all, just a quick one as I'm looking to expand my model collection by changing names and numbers, would anyone have any colour photos of A4's pre nationalisation, preferably of the first four in garter blue, but any coloured photos of any loco would help.

'The Big Four in Colour' and 'LNER Locomotives in Colour' have between them what were presumably the best available colour photographs when they were being compiled. Is there yet more with ColourRail that didn't make the cut for reproduction? That's your best next port of call if you have the two titles mentioned.

There are other sources that categorise the class history in terms of liveries carried and at what periods, colour of nameplates and suchlike, and perhaps someone will point you in the correct direction?
