East Coast mainliners in the 1950s

I'm talking Tess-Tyne Pullman and The Northumbrian in particular. I seem to recall that the T-T Pullman was generally hauled by A4s, but which class tended to do The Northumbrian? Further to that, were any particular locos regulars on those trains? Finally, did The Northumbrian have Gresley, Thompson or even Mark 1 stock?

A good source of info on this is the Yeadon books on Titled Trains of the East Coast (or something like that)
There are 2 volumes with bags of photos therein
From memory early days of the Tees Tyne was an A1 then latterly A4 haulage but of course Heaton and Gateshead had plenty of Pacifics to choose from
