I trust you have seen this photo of a 27 at Clapham Junction (photographer unknown), obviously as a result of a cross London service and waiting to return to Hornsey?

Hi is it one of Hornsey MPD"s or one of Cricklewoods?judging by the other loco in the picture which dates to a degree & the fact that LMR sent more inter-regional volume by then, than the E.R incl ex Temple Mills..

Ah yes. Good point. It could easily be from Cricklewood, thanks.

Hi all still a junior unlike you guys, in the reply section, hope you &past people received my replies!yes pic came thru,& cricklewood had Some in the headcode fitted X537x/8series+X54XX (not sure of type sub classes)those sometimes exchanged with Wellingborough&Leicester the iron ore rostered locos in quite a dreadful state soon after delivery, they came to town sometimes on Sulzer45 failure replacements,Not quite as exciting as the Large Numeral Blk 5's on the "Thames -Clyde Express"from 12A or St Rollox that arrived @ St Pancras(sometimes) mind you we liked Holbecks also...

Hi I'll rewrite that again before someone stands on my toes with their Railwayman Boots! "the NBL2 should have said 9 61XX-610X not 19.of them although we did have a couple of stragglers (3or4?) as stated, in the 613x series, because I was intrigued by the cab cut out for single line working apparatus as yet unfitted on a member in that number series @ the X staying only shortly, before the exodus along with Stratford &Ipswich examples.

Hi did L1's reach Cambridge, actually a KX member was rostered for a "CBE" regularly out&back, think it was their best one @ the time & covered this duty for a few months, could have been 67784? from memory(it was along time ago lads),they kept a couple of B1's in tip top mechanical condition for the Hull fish also,Did B12's & Clauds come down to the X on the Cambridge trains? yes they did, returning North after turning&coal/water on the station stabling point, not that regular but it happened.
